The Trouble with Trump

I voted for Trump. The DNC forced me to. The RNC forced me to. Despite the last entry in this blog, I assure you that I didn't want to vote for Trump. Then he just had to be caught on tape saying what every smart women has suspected or seen- that women will basically open their legs and present themselves like a dog in heat if a man is rich and/or powerful. Mostly if he is rich. Scott Adams wrote about it in his blog-- one of his friends sold a start up, and before he could say "present thyself, wily bitches", there he was with women doing just that. He didn't even have to look  Donald wasn't insulting women- he was telling the truth about some of them. I'm female. I know.

The trouble with Trump is that he doesn't seem to understand his own power. Oh, he's been dashing about getting rid of all those ridiculous executive orders left to his administration. That's his right.  But he doesn't seem to realize that I care that he behaves presidentially. Unlike Bill Clinton. Is that what he learned from his buddy Bill? You can do or say anything- it is all okay.   It is not.

Trump should absolutely tweet. It is why he was elected.. After 8 years of alternating between lectures and silence, the USA was unused to a president who said what he was going to do. That is okay. But at least have someone explain to you that spontaneity is not wise. Only a few people have gotten to be president, and only the past few could even use Twitter. He's new to this game. He is NOT a politician. He didn't start as a lowly page, then run for local office, then for state senate, then for Congress. Trump is not much of an ass kisser. He hasn't hung his career on making some doddering old man coffee on demand in some dark office on Capitol hill. Sure, he had a rich dad, but lots of people in Congress have that. And they hate him for not having done the groveling at the door of the senior Senators.

He is a businessman. And that is what the "great" part of MAGA is hanging its hat on- that this man can fix the egregious use of power by Obama in doubling the deficit. Now, how to handle natural disasters and North Korea, how to fight a lying and egotistical media with reporters to match, how to clean up crime, and solve illegals, and still survive it. The republicans don't support him- he stole their rightful presidency. The democrats don't support him- well, you know, all the crap they've made up to pour on their wounds.

But Trump is NOT a politician. But he is a leader. He gets the idea of authority and he understands bargaining through strength, That doesn't surprise me. And it is such a trip through the looking glass- it is all confusing to a lot of Americans. And the media we try to trust makes up lies and stokes racism and venerates the poor. Well, venerating the poor doesn't make them richer.  It just makes working people angry.

But it isn't Trump's fault- the real trouble with Trump is that he is doing more and doing it better than we've seen in forever. And it has turned many Americans vicious.  What a shame that no one can see what is going on is so NEW and such a good idea. It is absolutely what our founding fathers believed- someone with spirit and the ability to question.

I suggest the vicious people go home- go to work- go on a walk without a rock in your hands. Go live your life.  Or make yourself miserable. Your choice.  Hillary and Bernie don't care.
